Description | This unit covers the competency required to safely handle, aim, fire, manoeuvre and maintain line of sight ground based air defence weapon systems designed to destroy hostile aircraft.The operator must be thoroughly familiar with characteristics and capabilities of the missile system and competent in the application of fire in an operational or simulated operational environment.The operator will work as part of a team and be under supervision for the whole operation except during the period of firing where the operator will be under direct control and receive orders that dictate all actions. | ||
